Carpooling
Employee Carpool Program
If you carpool to the campus with another university, state or non-state employee, or student you are eligible to receive a carpool permit.
What's Required:
- Two or more faculty/staff employees commuting to work together make you university carpool-eligible for preferential carpool parking.
- The carpool group must pledge to carpool a minimum of two days per week.
- Park in designated "Rideshare" spaces only on the day(s) carpoolers ride together. Single commuters cannot park in the rideshare spaces.
- The carpoolers have to arrive together and leave together in the same vehicle.
- Each participant must complete and submit the online Commuter Registration form.
- The carpool group must complete and submit the online Faculty/Staff Rideshare Application form.
Monthly Drawings
Each alternative transportation use will be an entry into a monthly $100 drawing.
The drawings will occur by the 15th of each month.
Please note: Only employees are eligible for the monthly drawings.
Student Carpool Program
What's Required:
- Complete the Student Carpool Registration Form
- Applications are received and approved on a first-come-first serve basis.
- Once verified each carpool group will be issued one (1) Student Carpool Permit at no charge.
- A minimum of two (2) Fresno State Students per vehicle.
- At least one applicant must own a valid student parking permit.
Student Carpool Parking Location
Parking lot P15 has been designated during the fall and spring semesters as a student carpool lot from 7am to 12pm, Monday-Friday.
