Benefits

Fresno State Leave Programs

Fresno State provides Faculty, Staff and Administrators (MPP) with the opportunity to apply for time away from work for medical or non-medical reasons for self or for family care.

There are several types of leave of absences that may be granted to employees depending on their circumstances. For more information about the available leave programs, see the options below.

Please note that time off is approved in compliance with applicable Federal and State laws, relevant Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA), and Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations.
It is the responsibility of every employee absent from work in excess of five (5) workdays to comply with the medical leave of absence process. Failure to comply with this process may result in a delay or ineligibility of leave program benefits.

You can contact the Leave Coordinator below for an appointment to discuss eligibility and usage of available leave credits. This can be in person or over the phone/zoom. Leave program eligibility is analyzed/determined on a case-by-case basis. All information discussed during the appointment is confidential.
