Benefits Eligibility

Benefits eligibility is based on appointment length and time base. Most appointments must exceed six months and one day at .50 or greater. Academic-year lecturers and coaches qualify with a one-semester appointment at .40 or greater.

Employees averaging 130 hours per month (.75 FTE) may qualify for health benefits under the ACA.

Complete the Benefits Enrollment Form within 60 days of eligibility.

Fall 26 Fee Waiver

The CSU Fee Waiver & Reduction Program allows eligible faculty, staff, and managers — or one eligible dependent — to enroll in state-supported CSU courses at a reduced rate.

This benefit supports continued education and professional development across all CSU campuses.

Fee Waiver Guidelines

CHRS

The Common Human Resources System (CHRS) is a single Human Resources data management system that will serve all 23 California State University campuses and the Chancellor’s Office. CHRS is built on PeopleSoft 9.2, enhanced with CSU-specific improvements to support shared processes and consistent data across the system. These modifications have been designed by experts from all the CSUs, and are being built by the Chancellor’s Office. More information coming soon!
