Electronic & Information Technology Accessibility Review
Application and Classified Information Database (ACID)
California Government Code Section 11135 and CSU Executive Order 926 require the CSU to purchase Information and Communication Technology (ICT) products and services that conform to the requirements of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended. The technical standards of Section 508 provide criteria specific to ICT acquisition.
ICT includes information technology and any equipment or interconnected system or subsystem of equipment that is used in the creation, conversion, or duplication of data or information. The term ICT includes, but is not limited to, computers, software, telecommunications products (such as telephones), information kiosks and transaction machines, World Wide Web sites, multimedia, and office equipment such as copiers and fax machines.
All ICT purchases and/or demo's being paid with Foundation or Auxiliary Funds or with a campus ProCard must go through the Application and Classified Information Database (ACID) process. The ACID process replaces the Information Technology Procurement Review - ITPR process.
The campus Application and Classified Inventory Data (ACID) process can be accessed here
ICT orders being paid with State funds, and not on a ProCard will submit the order in CSUBUY P2P on either the IT Hardware or IT Software Forms which will generate the necessary workflows for review and approval by the necessary Technolog Services department team members.
