Before You Arrive

We are excited that you've decided to join Fresno State and look forward to seeing you on your first day. Before then, we've provided some recommended steps to ensure you will be set up and ready to participate fully during orientation.

Email Confirmation

Please verify that you've received the email from the Fresno State Help Desk. Use this email, along with your Fresno State ID and Date of Birth to create a password and log in to your Fresno State email account. If assistance is needed, contact the Fresno State Help Desk at (559) 278-5000.

Health Care Plans and Retirement

Learn about the different health care plans that Fresno State offers to its benefit-eligible employees. All benefit information, including plan summaries and deduction amounts, can be found on the Benefits webpage. For information on benefit eligibility, contact Human Resources or refer to your employment offer letter.

Full-time appointments exceeding six months, and half-time appointments averaging 20 hours per week for one year or more, are automatically enrolled in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS). Employees are encouraged to set up a personal account through MyCalPERS. Payroll 

Be sure to review the Fresno State Payroll Calendar, found here. This will inform you of your pay dates, holidays and campus closure dates.
