Activity Classes

Activity classes and ongoing physical wellness programs help support a healthy and high performing workforce. These programs change every semester so watch out for new content and sign-ups.

Session 1: August 20 to September 26

H.I.I.T
Tuesdays & Thursday, 12:10 to 12:50 p.m., South Gym 133
High intensity interval training (HIIT) involves quick aerobic bursts to boost heart rate. After three enjoyable exercises, we rest, stretch, and hydrate, repeating different moves for a full workout. Intensity increases throughout the sessions.

Session 2: October 1 to October 31

Pilates

Tuesdays & Thursdays , 12:10 to 12:50 p.m., South Gym 133
This workout strengthens core muscles in the abdomen, hips, and back, enhances flexibility with proper breathing techniques, and improves posture through various movements. It boosts body awareness, strength, coordination, and overall fitness. Bring your own mat or reserve one beforehand.

Session 3: November 5 - December 12

Body-Mind Balance

Tuesdays & Thursdays, 12:10 to 12:50 p.m., South Gym 133
This class combines yoga and mindfulness to connect body, mind, and spirit. Emphasizing sitz bones and spinal alignment, we flow through poses to enhance balance, flexibility, and overall wellbeing. Bring your own mat or reserve one in advance.

 

Winning With A Healthy Lifestyle
Fridays, 10:00 to 10:50 p.m., Family Food Science 105/ Zoom
Led by Dr. Lisa Herzig, this program offers a holistic approach to reclaiming your health through nutrition coaching and exercise planning, giving you support and tools to cultivate a healthy and balanced lifesty
