Environmental Impact Report
The Environmental Impact Report (EIR) will address all applicable California Environmental Quality Act impacts.
University staff members will meet with a wide variety of individuals throughout the community over a period of a year as part of the EIR process. We will encourage comments and suggestions for the public to review throughout the process.
An EIR is an assessment of the likely influence a project may have on the environment. “Environmental Impact Assessment can be defined as: The process of identifying, predicting, evaluating and mitigating the biophysical, social, and other relevant effects of development proposals prior to major decisions being taken and commitments made.” (IAIA 1999).
