Scholarships
The application period for this scholarship ends on March 2, 2026. Applicants from any major are eligible to apply.
These scholarships are intended for students who are planning to use their academic studies, community involvement, leadership roles, and work experience to educate and engage the larger community about opportunities to improve energy efficiency, climate change, and other forms of conservation.
BIG hopes to use this project to inspire members of the Fresno State community to increase sustainability efforts on campus and at home. Two scholarships are offered annually at $2,500 per scholarship.
Qualifying Criteria:
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Enrolled on a full-time* continuous basis at Fresno State in Fall 2026
- Undergraduate = continuous enrollment in 12 or more units
- Graduate = enrolled in 7 or more units.
NOTE: Incoming freshmen in Fall 2026 are not eligible to apply.
Outstanding Technical Achievement in Energy Efficiency: Environmentalism is an ideology that evokes the necessity and responsibility of humans
to respect, protect, and preserve the natural world from the actions our human race
is taking every day. In 500 words or fewer, describe your own personal sustainability
goals and how you hope to use your academic degree path and education to educate and
engage the larger community about opportunities to positively impact energy efficiency,
climate change, and other forms of conservation to achieve your sustainability goals.
