STAR Day Service Award Recognition Luncheon

The STAR Day Service Award Recognition Luncheon brings the Fresno State community together to celebrate staff and retirees reaching important Years of Service milestones and to recognize the contributions staff make every day. During the luncheon, honorees will be recognized on stage, receive their service awards, hear messages of appreciation from campus leadership, and celebrate alongside colleagues in a spirited atmosphere.

Important Registration Information

  • Registrations are first-come, first-served.
  • There is no cost to reserve a seat.
  • Departments can reserve as many tables or seats as needed.

Years of Service Award Recipients and VIP Reception

During the luncheon, Years of Service award recipients will be recognized for their dedication and commitment to Fresno State. Honorees who choose to participate in the stage recognition will have their names announced as they walk across the stage, are congratulated by campus leadership, and receive their service award.

Instructions for Years of Service Award Recipients

  1. When your Years of Service category is announced, use the perimeter aisle to make your way to the Southeast (SE) corner of the arena (right side of the stage).
  2. If you would like your name announced, pick up a name card at the check-in table and line up with the other award recipients. If needed, write your name phonetically on the card. When it is your turn, hand your card to the emcee, walk across the stage to be recognized by a Cabinet member and the Master of Ceremonies, then proceed to the award table, where a volunteer will assist you in receiving your engraved award.
  3. If you prefer not to walk across the stage, your name will not be announced; however, it will still be recognized on the STAR Day website. Please proceed to the Northeast (NE) corner of the arena (left side of the stage) to pick up your award.
  4. Award tables will be clearly labeled by Years of Service and Award Type (e.g., 5 Years, 10 Years, Retirees, and Prizes).
  5. Provide your name to the volunteer at the appropriate award table to receive your engraved award.
  6. After receiving your award, use the outer aisle to return to your table.
  7. If you are a raffle prize winner, please pick up your prize at the awards table located in the Northeast (NE) corner of the arena (left side of the stage). Raffle prizes will not be presented on stage.

VIP Reception

All Years of Service award recipients are invited to attend an exclusive VIP Reception in the Bulldog Foundation Room immediately following the luncheon.

You may pick up your award at the Northeast (NE) corner of the arena (left side of the stage). Your name will not be announced, but it will still be recognized on the STAR Day website.

Arrangements will be made to deliver your award plaque to your department location via the interdepartment mail system. Or you can contact the department to coordinate a time to pick up your award after STAR Day.

Please use the outer aisle to return to your table.

If you are a luncheon raffle prize winner, please pick up your prize at the awards table located in the Northeast (NE) corner of the arena (left side of the stage). If you are not present when prizes are distributed, we will contact you after the event to arrange a time for you to pick up your prize from the Office of Organizational Development.

All Years of Service award recipients are invited to attend the exclusive VIP Reception.

The reception will be held in the Bulldog Foundation Room immediately following the luncheon.
